Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside. Glucoside 215CS by Connect Chemicals is alkyl polyglucoside (APG)-based non-ionic surfactant and co-surfactant free of polyethylene glycol (PEG)- & preservative. It can also be used as a primary hydrophilic emulsifier in cold type O/A creams and milks, often coupled with a 4:1 ratio lipophilic emulsifier or in hot emulsions with waxy consistency factors.
It offers superior performance by combining the formulation ease of typical non-ionics with the foam characteristic of anionics. Exhibits excellent detergency, mildness, processing, superior wetting, dispersing and interfacial tension reduction properties for increased soil removal and emulsification. It is stable over a wide pH range and is compatible with strong acids. Glucoside 215CS is suitable for the formulation of cosmetic products declared as “natural”. Recommended for formulating fragrances, toiletries, makeup, skin-, hair-, sun and baby care products. It has a shelf life of 12 months. It is Ecocert, COSMOS approved, NATRUE allowed and RSPO certified.
