Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside. Glucoside 225DK by Connect Chemicals is widely used as a primary or basic surfactant as well as co-surfactant in the formulation of cosmetic products declared as “natural”. It can be used as primary hydrophilic emulsifier in cold type O/A creams and milks often coupled with a 4:1 ratio lipophilic emulsifier or in hot emulsions with waxy consistency factors. It is alkyl polyglucoside (APG) that is free from preservative and polyethylene glycol (PEG).
Offers excellent detergency, mildness, processing, superior wetting, dispersing and interfacial tension reduction properties for increased soil removal and emulsification. It combines the formulation ease of typical non-ionics with the foam characteristic of anionics, proving superior performance. It shows compatibility with strong acids and stability over wide pH range. Glucoside 225DK finds application in formulating fragrances, toiletries, makeup, skin-, hair-, sun and baby care products. It has a shelf life of 12 months. It is Ecocert, COSMOS approved, NATRUE allowed and RSPO certified.
