Decyl Glucoside. Glucoside 425UP by Connect Chemicals is an alkyl polyglucoside (APG)-based non-ionic surfactant, co-surfactant and emulsifier. It offers superior performance by combining the formulation ease of typical non-ionics with the foam characteristic of anionics. It is polyethylene glycol (PEG)- & preservative-free. Exhibits excellent detergency, processing, superior wetting, dispersing and interfacial tension reduction properties for increased soil removal and emulsification.
It is also ideal for use in products for infants or for the eco-friendly segment or in products 2 in 1 or with a lipid/waxy share. It can be processed cold and will allow mild but cost-effective formulations in rinse-off products. It provides effective cleaning and quick foam build up, even at low percentage. It is stable over a wide pH range and is compatible with strong acids. Glucoside 425UP is suitable for the formulation of cosmetic products declared as “natural”. Recommended for formulating toiletries, makeup, skin-, hair-, sun and baby care products. It has a shelf life of 12 months. It is completely biodegradable, Ecocert, COSMOS approved, NATRUE allowed and RSPO certified.
