PEG-8 Dimethicone. Silsurf® A008-UP by Siltech is a mono-functional, water-dispersible silicone surfactant. It is a very low molecular weight ethoxylated polydimethylsiloxane based on a distilled mono-functional trisiloxane intermediate. It provides excellent surface tension reduction, wetting and super-spreading properties.
It has low critical micelle concentration and low-equilibrium surface tension. It improves draves wetting time and lower foam height. Silsurf® A008-UP is used in personal care products. The shelf life of this ingredient is 36 months.
