Phenoxyethanol (and) Benzoic acid (and) Dehydroacetic acid. Iscaguard® PBD distributed by Brenntag Specialties (EMEA) is a paraben-, thiazolinone- and formaldehyde-free preservative blend of organic acids dissolved in phenoxyethanol. It provides excellent protection against bacteria, yeasts, molds and fungi, as well as offers effective headspace protection.
It is suitable for formulations with acidic pH levels and shows compatibility with most personal care ingredients. Iscaguard® PBD can be used in O/W as well as W/O emulsions. It is recommended for shampoos, shower gels, creams, lotions, wet wipes, eye care, lip and oral care formulations as well as products for children under 3 years.
